first registered with British Eventing in 2010, having mainly competed in show jumping up to the age of 12. She progressed form BE80’s to BE100 with her then 5 year old 14.2hh. Lizzie was lucky enough to also have another pony alongside this, bought when she was 14. Together they completed their first BE Novice and Lizze enjoyed her first BE wins with him. This partnership competed successfully at Pony Trials for 2 seasons, achieving top 10 results. At the end of 2013 Lizzie purchased a 5 year old named Quarry Man from Vere Phillipps. She started eventing Quarry Man in 2014 and he quickly progressed from BE90 to Novice during this season, winning a total of 5 BE events along the way. To end the season they finished 12th
in the 6 year old championships at Osberton. As a 7 year old their success continued at Novice/1* level, winning a Novice Regional Final and going on to jump double clear in the National Novice Championships at Gatcombe. They also completed their first intermediate together, representing the Midlands Under 18 team and finished 5th
Chatsworth 1*. In 2016 they achieved a hat-trick of wins at Chatsworth CIC1*, 2 intermediate classes and completed their first CIC2* and CCI2*. During 2016 Lizzie also progressed her homebred 6 year old B Exclusive from BE90 through to Novice, achieving promising results at all levels. During 2017 I achieved my best results to date with Quarry Man, and was selected to represent Great Britain
at the Young Rider European Championships where we finished 9th
individually. B Exclusive continued to also have good results, winning at Novice level, finishing 3rd
Hartpury CCI1* and making the step-up to Intermediate level. To end the season Lizzie took both horses to Waregem, Belgium. B Exclusive finished 7th
CIC1* and Quarry Man 2nd
CIC2*, making Lizzie the highest placed British Rider in both the 1* and 2* classes.
Both horses have shown good form so far during 2018, with Quarry Man being long listed for the young rider team once again and picking up a 2nd in the CIC2* at Belton. Lizzie has just finished her 3 year degree in Equine Sports Science at Nottingham Trent University and recently won the University Sport National Championships, becoming Individual BUCS National Champion.
