Horses can experience nervousness and tension before exercise or competition causing them to misbehave or ‘wash out’. Super So-Kalm contains a premium grade magnesium with L-tryptophan, an essential amino acid associated with the production of serotonin, to calm and focus the horse, that fed daily can aid concentration and willingness to work, but without removing the edge required for competition.
Young horses also have a tendency to be highly strung and distracted, leading to training problems in the future. Feed young horses or horses in their first season Super So-Kalm to enable them to relax and ensure that their new experiences are good experiences.
Feed Super So-Kalm daily for nervous, excitable and young horses.
Why should you feed Super So-Kalm?
- To calm and focus:
- Young horses in early stages of training
- Horses in their first competition season
- Nervous, anxious, excitable or easily distracted horses
- Horses moving yards
So-Kalm Plus Paste can be given as a top-up to So-Kalm Plus Powder or alone for fast calming at shows and events.
How does it work?
The main ingredients in Super So-Kalm are L-tryptophan and magnesium. L-tryptophan is a naturally occurring amino acid responsible for controlling concentration and excitement. Therefore, supplemental L-tryptophan is an excellent choice for highly strung, young horses or those with a lack of focus. Magnesium plays an important role in nerve health, with a lack of magnesium in the diet being associated with anxiety and tension.
Super So-Kalm will need a 4-5 day build up and can be fed on a long-term basis.
